From 12 September 200, a special exhibition "Women in German Aviation" will be on display at the Aviation Museum in Rechlin. On a total of 12 blackboards, the Rechlin Museum has collected 11 interesting short biographies of German female pilots from the first female powered aircraft pilot to the first female fighter pilot of the German Federal Air Force to the first female cockpit crew of Lufthansa AG and their unique achievements in the 20th century.

This extraordinary exhibition will be presented in Rechlin for about 1 year!

The Aviation Museum Rechlin is currently the largest museum in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania managed under private law, focusing on the periods from 1917 to 1945 with the Rechlin Test Site as the largest central test site of the German Air Force, the military re-use of Soviet Russian aviation from 1945 to 1993 and the Rechlin shipyard from 1948 to 1996 as the largest employer in the region at that time.
