On the third weekend of Advent, Austrian mountain air will fill Berlin when atmospheric, fairytale-like sounds from the snow-covered Salzkammergut will once again be heard in the French Cathedral on the Gendarmenmarkt. Genuine, unadulterated folk music from the Alps is performed here and wonderful Advent magic is spread. The artists tell stories with their songs and celebrate music on their traditional instruments in a way that is rarely heard in the capital.
