A comedy by Aristophanes

Always be rich and never be poor again.
This has been the wish of many people since ancient times.

Why is wealth distributed so unequally among people? How can this be changed and does it even make sense for everyone to have the same amount? The poet Aristophanes posed these questions over 2500 years ago. In his last comedy, Pluto, the god of wealth, is blind. That is why he cannot see how unfairly his gifts are distributed. This is the starting point of the comedy, which is about money, greed and justice.
