It's the first rehearsal of the new season. The conductor wants to build on last year's success, but the cello section is not complete...
In the interactive play "Symphonie", three actors enter an orchestra rehearsal together with the audience. Groups of instruments are formed and Mozart's Symphony No. 40 is played together.
What seems harmless at first turns out to be more and more a breeding ground for (racist) discrimination. Who belongs, who is excluded? Who gets a voice and who doesn't? Do we need more solidarity? When do we put up resistance?
60 digital string instruments form the setting of the piece, in which power and discriminatory structures become visible.

Founded in 1987 as an independent theatre group, Theater Strahl has been staging two permanent stages in Berlin Schöneberg since the end of the 1990s, mainly with premieres, and since 2013 also in the STRAHL.Halle am Ostkreuz.
