Igor Budinstein, freelance conductor, violin soloist and principal violist with the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin and his ensemble Symphonia Berlin, celebrates Viennese musical tradition and coffee house culture with a special afternoon concert. Works by composers such as Fritz Kreisler, Johann Strauss, W. A. Mozart and J. Brahms will be presented in a charmingly moderated form, dealing with the Viennese attitude to life and the melange of sweet and bitter notes. Historical anecdotes and musical virtuosity combine to create a loving homage to the city of Vienna and its unmistakable culture.
