The February 2020 issue of the stage talk show "Kurtz on the couch" will be musical, poetic, funny, surprising and touching. This is exactly what the singer, actor, author and songwriter Klaus Hoffmann was invited by host Andreas Kurtz to the Wintergarten Varieté Berlin on 10 February. And Hoffmann has agreed to bring his guitar to play the one or other important song of his life at the appropriate point of the interview.
Klaus Hoffmann is considered the leading interpreter of Jacques Brel's chansons, but has long since found his style and his audience with songs he has written himself. But he also could have turned completely different at the beginning of his artistic career because he played successfully in movies of Ingmar Bergman and Tom Toelle. Hoffmann even won the Bambi and the Golden Camera with the leading role in the film adaptation of Ulrich Plenzdorf's "Die neuen Leiden des jungen W.". Over 40 albums later, he is considered the leading singer-songwriter in the German-speaking world, but would not be averse to the challenge of a film role. There's a lot to talk about!
