Modern love story full of poetic explosiveness
Roxy has been expelled from her old school. In the new class she is the number one topic of conversation and turns everyone's head with her self-confident manner. Even the sensitive outsider Cyril, who is bullied because of his big nose, is attracted to her. Roxy, however, shows interest in the attractive Rick, who is struggling with insecurities of his own. At the same time, Benno tries to make a pass at Roxy. Wanting to prevent her from falling for the vain class clown, Cyril teams up with Rick on a class trip to Berlin. When something starts to happen between Roxy and Rick, Cyril puts the right words in his mouth. As a gifted rap poet, he regularly appears - hidden behind a golden mask - at rap battles and sweeps the audience away. He delights Roxy, hidden behind Rick, with soulful and clever messages. Because, of course, Cyril is really expressing his own feelings for her in them. Will Cyril learn to stand by himself in order to hit Roxy right in the heart in the end after all?
"The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" became a box office sensation in 2018. Adapted from Rostand's "Cyrano de Bergerac," the story in a new version with dialogue wit and pointed rap interludes also strikes a chord on the stage with a generation that finds itself somewhere between the compulsion to compare and the search for recognition and affection.
