The "Brotfabrik" is a trendy art and cultural centre in Weißensee. Built as a bread factory at this location in 1914, the building has experienced a constant ups and downs to this day. In GDR times there were in today's bread factory Selters, sweets, work clothes and finally a youth club. After the fall of communism, the area steadily developed into a popular cultural territory.
