With roots in the Caribbean, Oceana grew up with the genres soul, funk and reggae and became an internationally acclaimed gold and platinum artist.
Maceo Parker, former saxophonist of James Brown, recognized her musical talent. He regularly called her on stage at his concerts and catapulted her to her musical career as a teenager with the sentence: "You are ready".
As dancer and choreographer for Seeed, singer for Boundzound and presenter for the music show Arte Lounge on Arte, Oceana has been particularly successful as a singer over the past 10 years.
