A tree as the main character: it tears itself away from the backdrop and surprisingly takes on the title role. In addition to him as the "star of the evening", several goddesses, an angry chainsaw, fateful lovers, set pieces, the weather and even real trees also play a role. A comedic and profound examination of our friend, the tree, right through to the climate crisis and beyond.

The performer Juliana Oliveira searches as a tree for the "right way to stand in life". To this end, she quotes and dissects common depictions of trees and clichés from the history of theater and literature and plays with the audience's expectations and longing for nature. As a tree in the spotlight, Oliveira acts in sometimes abstract, sometimes childishly naive tree costumes, lipsyncs tragic theater scenes, runs through the winter forest in video sequences as a spring-like drag tree or holds a silent stand-up blockade in a soundscape.BEST OF: BAUM invites you to a review of the greatest tree moments on the boards that mean the world and questions the human view of vegetative life.
